Mustapha Inuwa finally breaks silence on “N1.6bn” allegations; deny receiving EFCC’s Invitation
The secretary to the state government Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa has debunked the report he was allegedly invited by EFCC over N1.6bn cattle rustlers’ peace deal.
While speaking with newsmen in Katsina, the Dr. Inuwa took time to clarify the actual amount spent throughout the amnesty programme.
“Actually with regard to N1.6bn as spread by mischief makers was nothing but blatant lies. I don’t know where the news come up; but I assured you that EFCC has invited the petitioner to provide in details the source of the information before inviting me to defend myself even if I were to be invited the agency”. He said
Dr. Inuwa insisted that EFCC has never invited him with regard to the matter as being spread by oppositions.
“I wrote a letter to EFCC challenging the petitioner to come up with the proof as being alleged and broadcast on social media platforms. In the letter I also demand the EFCC to invite the petitioner to enlighten them with evidence that such huge amount of money was misused, if I found guilty then I am ready to accept penalty”. He added
According to him, the total money spent throughout the amnesty programme is less than N40 million.
He gave kudos to Governor Aminu Bello Masari for his uncommon courage in reconstructing Katsina State for good governance by making the amnesty programme a success.
