The Katsina state environmental protection agency has commenced 3 days special sanitation exercise across the major towns in the state.
Flagging up the exercise at Kofar Marusa area in Katsina metropolis, the Executive Director of the agency Isa Saidu Barda said the exercise is aimed at improving the sanitary condition of the major towns in the state.

According to him, the 3days exercise focus on street sweeping, refuse evacuation and desalting of drainages and waterways.
The executive director however assured their commitments toward safeguarding the lives of the people from environmental hazards and charged them to contribute their quota to achieve the set objectives.
Meanwhile, the representative of the state house of assembly committee on environment Sagir Sulaiman described sanitation exercise as collective responsibility urged the general public to support the activities of the agency by engaging themselves in various sanitation activities.
