Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state has congratulated the Muslim Ummah over the successful completion of the fasting of the month of Ramadan, and the celebration of the Eid Fitr.
The Governor also urged Muslims to imbibe the virtues, lessons and discipline taught by the month of Ramadan.
He noted that the lessons and discipline taught by Ramadan could not have come at a more opportuned time than now when the world is confronted by a myriad of challenges, especially bordering on the economy and security.
“As a period of deep reflection, prayers, show of kindness and generosity as well as demonstration of love, the Month of Ramadan came at a time when these virtues are needed to serve as a tonic for narional and global rebirth and unity against the evils of insecurity and economic meltdown.
“Indeed, the timing could not have come at a more opportuned moment when Nigeria needs prayers from all well-meaning citizens to get it through this challenging period.
“This administration, without doubt, has positively moved the nation forward from the near camatose state it had met it two years ago, and with the support and prayers of all of us, Nigeria is sure to whether the storm sooner rarher than later.
“I would also like urge Nigerians not to relent in their prayers for the quick recovery and return of President Muhammadu Buhari back to Nigeria”.
