Ibrahim Magnet donates over N15million to Vulnerable families (PHOTOS)

In keeping with his mandate of helping the poor, the renowned Katsina-born philanthropist Ibrahim Sambo Magnet, on Friday donated two cheques of $20, 000 each to ailing Barrister Hauwa Yusuf and Baby Khadijah Bishir.

The event which took place at Kano state Library was witness by esteem government officials, emirate council members, businessmen, academic professors amongst others.

Speaking during the formal presentation of cheque and other items to the 8 beneficiaries, President of Magnet foundation, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sambo Magnet said he was happy that his foundation has ones again been able to fulfil it’s obligation to the needy.

Admonishing the beneficiaries, Ibrahim Magnet said his foundation will continue to play it’s role in empowering people with the limited resource within it reach.

“I welcome you all to this important gathering. Just like you come here today, a few days ago in Kaduna I bagged an award and a traditional title “Alaanu Mekunu” of Nigeria from the mighty National Association of Oduduwa Students (NAOS), which I was privileged simply because I am the first ever Nigerian to receive the Title from the Oduduwa descendants.” I thank Almighty Allah I made history.”

“The previous award ceremony in Kaduna is the stepping-stone behind the success of today’s event. Where I was able to seek a donation of $20, 000 to the ailing Barrister Hauwa to treat her rare muscle disease in India.”

“This poor girl Hauwa was battling with the rare muscle disorder since she was 14years old. With the sickly nature of her, she was able to complete her secondary school and the university were she studied law and later became a Barrister.”

“Her condition is very rare and I think only two of them in Nigeria had ever suffered from the disease.” He added

“When she and her parents met me for help, I promise to offer them the support in my own capacity so she may get treated.”

Alhaji Ibrahim Magnet added that “Upon all the processes by Allah’s will I was able to raise the sum of $20, 000 needed for her treatment in India with the help from Air Peace Chief Allen Onyema and Alhaji Sani Dangote.”

Similarly, a six month-old baby raped in Kano was among the beneficiaries at the occasion. Baby Khadijah who was recently treated by Ibrahim Magnet Foundation also received a cheque of another $20, 000 presented by Alhaji Ibrahim Magnet.

Alhaji Magnet however called on Kano State government, Emirate council and other stake holders to take severe legal actions against the alleged perpetrator of Khadijah’s rape. “I called on Kano state government, Kano Emirate to drastically deal with the culprit that rape baby Khadijah. The world has condemned raping a six months old baby. This is similar to murder” He insists

The philanthropist also lamented the poor handling of Baby Musa’s judgment were he called on the court to swiftly wrap up the judgment, let example be set.

He said “Up to today baby Musa’s case is not yet concluded, No one knows the legal measures taken on the woman. Musa is still handicapped without one eye which he can never recovered. I however called on especially the Kano Government and emirate council to similarly follow-up baby Musa’s case and that of baby Khadijah. We cannot fall our arms to see the perpetrators escaped without been punish. The world is monitoring to see the final result.”

Ibrahim Magnet added that his foundation will take-charges of all responsibilities of the lawyers depending both Baby Musa and Khadijah anywhere and in any court worldwide.

At the event, the philanthropist also donated three NAPEP to Baby Musa, Baby Khadijah and Barrister Hauwa including a motorbikes to their parents and other relatives.

Earlier in his address, the chairman of the occasion Sarkin Shanun Kano; Alhaji Muhammad Dankadai described Sambo Magnet as a blessing to humanity. He called on the wealthy individuates to emulate Alhaji Magnet, engage in assisting vulnerable people, community, and religious development.

Ibrahim Magnet Foundation has been in forefront of philanthropic deeds towards the poor and indigent in Nigeria for over a decade now.

In 2016, the foundation saved the life of a baby (Musa) that had a severe broken legs and eye defect and thereafter awarded the sum of N2, 000, 000.

The foundation had also donated a car and living house to one arm-less Sahida in lapai Local Government, Niger state worth millions of naira.

Also, Magnet foundation has regained a freedom to over 40 prisoners of socially related vises all over the nation. Construction of boreholes, schools, youth empowerment programs. Amongst other.
