Katsina Speaker charges INEC to establish more PVC registration centers across the state

The speaker of Kastina state house of assembly Abubakar Yahaya Kusada has stressed the need for the legislative members to muster their constituents on the need obtain permanent voters identity card in the ongoing registration being conducted by INEC.

He made the call when he visited INEC office in his constituency at Kusada local government to inspect the facilities provided for the exercise. According to him, “The permanent voter’s card is vital not only for voting purposes rather a means of identification as Nigerian.”

While ensuring the support of legislations to the success of the exercise, the speaker stressed the need for the INEC to establish more registration centers to enable more people to register.

According to him, centralizing the registration in the local INEC office will deny more voters especially those in villages from obtaining the PVC.

Earlier the INEC officer in charge of Kusada local government Yahaya Shehu informed the speaker that the commission has made available all the needed facilities for the smooth conducts of the exercise.
