The Katsina state government has reassured it commitment toward ensuring the settlement of gratuities and other dues it owes civil servants in the state. The state head of civil service, Alhaji Garba Sanda Mani, stated this in the 3rd enforce trenches for the flag off of the payment of gratuities at Jaa Abdulkadir secretariat.
According to him, the state Government had at the 1st and 2nd trenches of the payment released about N3.2 billion to the families of late civil servants in the state. The commissioner said Governor Aminu Masari has sympathy and respect to the dead workers and their families. The commissioner also stated that the Families will receive bank alert notifying them of the payment.
Similarly, the chairman of the committee set up for verification of outstanding gratuity of retired civil servants Alhaji Ibrahim Dabo said the committee will forward their report to the Governor for the approval of paying the second batch of the staff. He however called on them to use the money wisely.
