A day old baby boy abandoned around Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Katsina have been recovered just as police have launched a manhunt of the mother.
Daily Trust gathered that abandoned baby boy was found alive with its umbilical cord intact near an uncompleted building.
Our reporter learnt that a passerby attention was drawn to the cries of the baby who in turn reported the matter to the police.
Confirming the incidence, the Katsina state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Isa Gamba said already investigation has commence just a manhunt for the mother has began.
He said, the recovered baby is presently with the police Social Welfare unit for proper care.
