
Katsina: Security agents reportedly clashed with Shi’a sect at midnight
Some unconfirmed news reaching KATSINA POST has it that security agents stormed the resident of the Mal. Yakubu Yahaya – spiritual leader of Shi’a sect members in Katsina earlier today at midnight.
Some residents we talked to informed us that they actually heard signs of fight around the house of the spiritual leader of the shi’a sect – Yakuku Yahaya.
However, up to now there is no any official statement from the security agents regarding the event and all efforts to reach out to them prove abortive.
But in another news reported by NAN, Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina state has signed an order banning any form of unlawful assembly of people in any part of the state.

The ban was announced on Thursday in Katsina in a statement signed by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Abdu Labaran.
Labaran said that the order, signed on Feb 27, was in consonance with the power conferred on the governor by Section 97A of the Penal Code.
“Gov. Masari declared that, any assembly of two or more persons in any part of Katsina State is hereby banned.
