The residents of Bakori local governments are appealing to the state government to complete the juma’at mosque in Bakori town. According to one resident of the town ‘Isma’il Bakori’ who set us the news and requested us to publish it said the mosque expansion project was started in February 2015 in the build-up to the general elections by the former PDP-led government.
He further stated that since then, very little was done in the project and that made the mosque not usable by the residents. He further explained that the residents now are being forced to be observing their Juma’at prayers in the motor garage of Makaman Bakori -District Head of Bakori Alhaji Sule Idris.
He further stated that now that the raining season and the holy month of Ramadan are fast approaching, the Bakori residents are in dare need of government intervention as the mosque is being use by the residents in the performance of ‘Itikaf’.
He then concluded by appealing to the government to look into the issue and provide solution to it.
