The newly acquired gaffer of the elite division side has opined that the mix of new and retained players won’t bring about any problems.
Katsina United head coach, Bala Nikyu has stated that his players won’t have any problems with blending ahead of their return to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)next season after he kept faith with most of the players.
The club returned to the top flight at the end of last season after topping their Nigeria National League (NNL) group and they have gone ahead to employ Nikyu, to help them retain their top flight status in the next league season.
Nikyu told Goal:“We will soon be proceeding to a closed camping programme outside Katsina State.
“We want to have the best of preparations for the new season and also finalise on how we want the next season to look like.
“We will do that outside the state and the management is currently doing something to ensure that it is possible.
“We won’t have any problems with blending because I took all the 22 players recommended for retention when I came in here because it is not in my character to drop players. I will add some new players to solidify the team and it is this reason travelling on a closed camping will be added advantage to the team.”
