The Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4 playoff to determine the overall winner of the 2015/2016 season will hold in Gombe between November 22 and November 26, 2016, the board of the league has confirmed.
Sportstalkafrica.com exclusively reported a fortnight ago that the NNL Super 4 will be hosted by Gombe and a circular by the League office signed by the Secretary, Lawrence Katken, has confirmed that the Gombe State Government has accepted and committed to host the tournament featuring the four newly promoted clubs to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The circular further approved that each of the clubs namely ABS FC, Gombe United FC, Katsina United and Remo Stars FC shall be allowed to register additional seven new players to play in the tournament. This is to accord the clubs opportunity to test new intakes as well as prepare ahead of the NPFL season which kicks off in December.
All the four clubs involved in the Super 4 tournament are expected to arrive Gombe on Monday, November 21, for accreditation and pre-tournament formalities.
Katsina united secured a spot in the upcoming Nigerian National league after winning Mighty Jet of Jos 1-0 in Katsina at Karkanda Stadium.
