Governor Aminu Masari has approved the appointment of  three new permanent secretaries and re-posting of 15 others in a major reshuffle in the state civil service.

A statement by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media Abdu  Labaran gave the names of the new appointees as Aliyu Danja, Mohammed Wali and Abdulsalam Sabi’u.

Those reshuffled include Idris Tune, moved from Department of Higher Education to Ministry of Agriculture; Ahmed Kabasiyyu from Information to Directorate of Employment and Vocational Training; Rabiu Ruma from SGS office to Higher Education; Nasiru Bawalle from Civil Service Commission to Women affairs.

Others are Musa Mahuta from state Assembly commission to  Information and Home affairs; Lawal Dutsinma from Local government service commission to Civil service commission; Sagir Ibrahim from Education to Establishment; Ubale Abdulrahman from Religious Affairs to Commerce Industry and Tourism;  Ibrahim Lawal moved from Establishment to Education; Sulaiman Safana from Agriculture to SGS office; Sani Masari from Local government to Environment; Isyaku Karofi from Youth Development to Local government service commission and Rayyana Lawal from Women affairs to Lands and Survey.

Sulaiman Abdullahi who has just returned from the National Institute  for Policy and Strategic Studies Jos, was posted to the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

It could be recalled that in September last year, Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has approved the appointment  of eight new permanent secretaries and an accountant general.

A statement signed by the state’s Head of Service, Mohammed Aliyu, gave the names of the new permanent secretaries as Suleman Yakubu Safana, Suleman Abdullahi Mohammed, Ibrahim Gambo Lawal, Isyaku Ahmed Karofi, Sani Isyaku, Abdullahi Ibrahim Remawa, Aminu Abu Bazariye and Sani Umar while the new accountant general is Kabir Mohammed Dankaura.

The statement added that all the appointments were in recognition of their track records, dedication and outstanding performances.
