I met the state of education in a ‘terrible condition’; Masari cries out
Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State, on Sunday called on traditional rulers and ward heads to regularly visit the various schools in their domains and monitor what goes on there.
He also directed heads of various schools in the state to safeguard the new projects being put up by the government in such schools to ensure their longevity.
The governor gave the directive when the Emir of Daura, Dr. Umar Faruk Umar, paid him a Sallah visit in Katsina.
Governor Masari said his regime met the state of education in a terrible condition, adding that he has since been putting in place various strategies to improve the situation.
He said aside from putting up new structures in many of the schools in the state, his administration was also working on the employment of teachers and instructors to teach the pupils/students.
He said, “There is no investment that is too much on the education of our children. And our administration will not relent to give our children the best of education.”
