ALLEGATION! Masari’s aids demand ‘bribe’ from Italian Investors says one Jummai Ibrahim
# It is quite laughable -Maiwada DanMalam
KATSINA POST has been monitoring a heated discussion going on on the pages of facebook after on Jummai Ibrahim Katsina alleged that some of Masari aids demanded bribe from some foreign investors from Italy whom she said she convinced to hither though come and make an investment to the tune of N18billion in the agricultural sector of the state.
This is what she (Jummai) wrote “I was away in India when i luckily met and convinced some willing Italian investors, we came to tour about 3 Northern states among which Katsina had all the agribusiness potentials they needed… U know what happened next? The Investors were finally received in Kaduna where they already signed MoU to inaugurate their coy soon, Katsina had foolishly missed the # 18binvest chain coz some hungry servants of Masari demanded an egunje from me before they linked us up to the governor # WALLAHI.”
While the debate is going on, the former Special Assistant (S.A) to Governor Masari in person of Maiwada DanMalam took to the post and commented saying the allegation “is quite laughable”. Maiwada also expressed his reservation on the identity of the person that made the post and also challenged her to make public the name of the business company “for proper identification and investigation”.
This is what he said (un edited) “This is quite laughable. First it’s not even clear who made the statement. It’s to scanty. Even if it’s so, what proof is there that ‘some hungry servants of Masari’ demanded egunje hence, destroyed the deal. By the way, why are you holding back the name of the Italian business outfit for proper identification and investigation. Please go an extra length to mention when and what MoU they signed with KDSG. We don’t just stake people’s integrity with scanty claims like this.”
On his part, while dismissing the allegation, the chairman of the Katsina Investment summit whom said he is also the focal person of any investor coming to the state to invest -who is also the former deputy governor of the state – Alhaji Tukur Jikamshi commented on the post while also challenging her to make public the profile of the company.
This is what he said too “Please let the public know that Iam the focal point for prospective Investors that do visit Katsina and let me say that nobody contacted me on any Italian Investor(s). Not just that I wonder what kind of Investor that will go to India and then left India for Nigeria.
However, to get the root of the matter let Jummai bring to the public domain the following
1. The name of the Investor(s) Company
2. The specific Investor interest
3. Offices visited and officer(s) they interface with
3. Date of the visit
4. Date and Name of the hotel they lodge
5. Once the above information are available we can easily confirm the Kaduna part of the story.
What about you? What is your take on it?
