Corruption, bridge of trust, betrayal, lies, hypocrisy, greed and scam dominating with in the heart of Nigerians particularly the Northerners. The reason as to why it is the Northerners in particular is because we were the ones known to have decency, morality and all form of good character. However, nowadays it is the opposite of the story. Everything turned upside down due to selfishness and greed.
One wonders how people abuse political offices, traditional rulers and rich men fall prey in accusations of corruption. They play a big role in all forms of corrupt practices.
Cheating has become the order of the day in all angles be it health, education, finance, political e.t.c. Every individual is looking for a target to cheat. A mechanic will wait for that orppotunity when the vehicle breaks down to cheat. A conductor is always targeting the driver to snatch some money. Students are cheating fellow students, students cheating their teachers and teachers cheating the students.
A doctor does not give proper care to those who can’t pay extra money, proper care is given to the rich (privative clinic) society organizations turn to money making organizations. Some people celebrate government policies not because they are good for them and the country but because they favored the few rich and the poor are frustrated.
You find people attacking others on social media, with complaints and criticism not because they are wrong rather they are after offending the person.
Change begins with you, with us and within us. We should not only blame the leaders for the damages and moral decadence in this country. It is a collective effort that one man can’t change. We must collectively join our hands to bring back the lost glory.
