Katsina state government has assured its readiness to empower women boost their economic standard across the state. The deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu announce this at first Katsina state gender and business dialogue held at the state secretariat. The deputy governor who was represented by the commissioner for commerce, industry and tourism Abubakar Yusuf assured the commitment of the government toward improving small and medium entrepreneurs in the state. The deputy governor also called on the businessmen and women in the state to compliment government’s efforts by ensuring quality standard and values of their products for large patronage. The deputy governor also assured the participants that plans are underway for the business entrepreneurs to have access with credit facilities, task reduction, storage facilities, and land procurement amongst others.
The commissioner for women affairs Hajiya Badiyya Hassan Mashi express hope that the current administration is ready to support and facilitate the growth of women’s business activities. Also said the government has planned to assist women in exporting their product for international market.
