Former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Mamman Nasir, on Monday said Nigerians must support on going efforts by the Federal Government to reposition the country.
Nasir, who is the District Head of Malumfashi in Katsina State, made the appeal when he received some APC members in his palace.
The monarch, who is also the Galadiman Katsina, said Nigerians should embrace current changes and efforts to steer Nigeria towards self reliance.
“Government deserves maximum public support in order to bring about the desired transformation started in all sectors.
“The Elders Council in Katsina State which I led, welcomes various policies of the new administration geared toward enhancing people’s lives and infrastructure development.
“We remain committed to providing useful advises in order to achieve the desired results,’’ Nasir said.
He noted that President Muhammadu Buhari has demonstrated good intention for the country and called on people to embrace government policies in good faith.
According to him, the government’s transformation efforts are good for the country.
He noted that every administration comes with distinctive programmes aimed at uplifting the wellbeing of the people.
Nasir commended the registration of unemployed persons by the government, meant to create accurate data base towards tackling unemployment.
Earlier, leader of the APC delegation, Mr Sagir Karfi, said the visit was to pay the traditional Sallah homage on the district head.
He urged Nigerians to be patient with President Buhari, stressing that current policies were meant to correct past mistakes and place the nation on the path of growth.
Karfi also urged Nigerians to pray for peace and progress in the country.
