Authorities concern has been urged to come to the aid of Rafukka communities by averting them the threat being imposed by the near-by pond behind the communities. The spoke person of the communities Hajiya Aisha Mai wake da Shinkafa made the call when she visited CFM news room. The spoke person called on the relevant government agencies to construct the drainage to allow free flow of water from the pond especially as the rainy season reached its momentum.

Hajiya Aisha lamented that significant number of houses surround the pond are facing serious danger of flooding whenever the pond filled to capacity. According to her the state government has sent a team of experts to inspect the pond in August last year after the communities laid complain but no action has been taken so far. She therefore appealed passionately to Governor Aminu Masari and Katsina state local government administration to come to their rescue.
