Katsina: CSOs Call On Governor Masari To Cut Down Cost Of Running Governance In The State
The coalition of civil societies in Katsina state has called on the state government to make public issues related to ongoing local government staff screening exercise in the state. The chairman of the coalition in the state Dr. Bashir Usman Ruwangodiya made the call at the instance of the state Governor Aminu Bello Masari when invited the civil societies for breaking of Ramadan fast at the Government house.
Furthermore, the civil societies also advice the state Government to give more emphasis on agricultural activities and to partner with federal government toward speedy completion of the abandoned Lambar Rimi windmill power project to boost industrial activities in the state. The coalation also advice the state government to take realistic measures toward cutting down the cost of governance and to regularly provide wage bills to each of the 34 local government areas in the state for clarification and possible evaluation by the people in the state.
In responding, the state governor appreciate the good gesture of the union for honoring the invitation and also for the advices as reaffirm the commitment of his administration toward developing Katsina state to greater height.
