Federal Medical Center Katsina Imposes “NO WORK NO PAY” Treatment to Striking Health’s Workers!
The Management of the Federal Medical Center Katsina in a memo dated 22nd June 2016 with the subject “Seven day warning strike Notice by Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU)” warned its staff of participating in the action as the center would put in to effect the “NO WORK NO PAY” rule throughout the strike duration. The statement signed by Bature Dabo on behalf of the Chief Medical Director.
It should be recalled that having consulted widely with members nationwide and having shown consistent understanding since February 2015, the leadership of JOHESU hereby directs that all members in Federal Tertiary Health Institutions should proceed on a seven-day warning strike from 12:01am of Wednesday June 22 2016.
The management also warned all staff that attendance registers would be opened in all departments and units of the center which would go into effect from 12am today 23rd June 2016 for signing by all staff, with reporting and closing columns provided to ensure full compliance.
