
FRSC launches ‘operation DAMINA’ In Katsina State (Read What it entails)
About 1, 613 people injured and 334 deaths were recorded as a result of motor accidents from January-May 2016 in Kaduna zone. The commanding officer of the zone Mr. Bulus B. Darwan made this known during the flagging off of special operations tagged “OPERATION DAMINA” held at Katsina. Mr. Bulus attributed the causes of the crashes with the driver’s attitudes which include; malfunctioning wipers and other related offences. The commanding officer stated that most accidents occurred during the rainy season because road becomes slippery which affects the control of the vehicle.

Mr. Bulus revealed that to check the crashes and other related offences like over loading, over speeding, indiscriminate parking and other social vices, the zone has decided to conduct zonal intervention patrol operations to run for 1 week across the four states; Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa state.
The zonal commanding officer then called on the general public to support the activities of the road safety corps to save the lives of the masses.
