Five hundred and sixty one (561) students have been matriculated by the Federal College of Education, Katsina for 2016/2017 academic session.
In his speech at the occasion, the acting provost of the college -Alhaji Aliyu Idris re-affirm the institution’s commitment towards improving the structural facilities in of the college to provide conducive atmosphere of learning to its various students.
The acting Provost highlighted some of the achievements recorded in the undergraduate section of the college. He added that despite the current financial predicaments, the college was able to upset all the outstanding moderation fees and others financial debt incurred by the institution.
The also stated that the undergraduate hostels were also fully renovated for their comfort with the increase in the college annual intake of students.
According to him, this was made possible through improvement of necessary facilities such as additional lecture halls and teaching laboratories.
He then enlighten the matriculating students on the laws of the college insisting that examination malpractice and other social biases can not be condoned in the school.
In his goodwill message, the Vice chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) Prof Muhammad Yahuza Bello represented by Dr. Salihu Lawal drew the attention of the students and en joined them to work hard. He assured the students that they made the right choices as their degree program is affiliated to BUK.
