Katsina state government has released the sum of over N220 million for the payment of 17,943 fresh students of katsina state indegin in various tertiary institutions across the country. The state government has also released the sum of over N10 million for the payment of 35 law school students.
The Director General of the katsina state Scholarship Board -Alhaji Shehu Muhammad disclosed this during a meeting with the state executives of the National Association of Katsina State Students (NAKATSS) in the board’s premises.
Alhaji Shehu Muhammad noted that the state government was able to achieve this despite the current dwelling financial state. According to him, the sum of over N338 million was released last year for the payment of 26,697 continues students in the state.
Also speaking, the special advisor to the Governor on Education -Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanci said this further shows the priority of the current administration to the education sector in the state.
