Shari’a Court Judges In Katsina State has been charged to be punctual in their responsibilities and place of duty. The katsina state chief judge -Justice Abdullahi Yusuf gave the charge while swearing in six (6) Shari’a judges at the Katsina High Court Auditorium. The ste chief judge also advised the judges not be leasing with the police prosecuting officers who took delight in detaining accused persons.
He added that there is the need for judges to be applying due diligence while presiding over cases of inheritance.
Those sworn in as the shari’a court judges at different capacities are:
(1) Sa’idu Usman
(2) Yusuf L. Abdullahi
(3) Nasir Ahmad Darma
(4) Abdullahi Tanimu
(5) Lawal Salisu and
(6) Falalu Jibril
The swearing-in ceremony was graced by the crowds of family members, friends, colleagues and well wishers.
