Katsina Assembly To Make Law For The Enforcement Of Dress Code In Schools Across The State
Katsina State House of Assembly has organised a round table meeting with the various religious sect leaders in the state on the enforcement of dress code in schools across the state -especially in private schools and tertiary institutions.
The meeting which is chaired by the Hon. Speaker of the House -Alhaji Aliyu Sabi’u Muduru drew participants from the JIBWIS, Munazzamatul fityanul islam and Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Katsina State Branch.
In his opening remarks, the speaker said the meeting is conveyed to fashion out modalities to enforced decent dressing in both public and private schools. The speaker also decried the order and manner where indecent dressing is so rampant in the state especially among the state’s tertiary students. He maintained that indecent dressing is not part of our culture and religion and must not be allowed to corrupt the society.
In their separate contribution, the leaders of the two (2) major religions condemned indecency in totality and throw their support to the law.
