Katsina Judicial Staff Union Demands Financial Autonomy
The Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JSUN), Katsina State chapter has called on government to grant financial autonomy to the judiciary in the state. The call was made by the chairman Comr. Sa’idu Magaji Karkarku when he led other officials of the Union on a courtesy visit to the state’s Attorney General Alh Ahmad El-marzuq.
JSUN also prayed that the state government will address the problems of under funding, under staffing as well as inadequate working materials, training and re training of judicial staff.
Responding, the Antony General and also the commissioner for justice El-marzuq promised to advise the state government to comply with the constitutional provisions which states financial autonomy to the judiciary.
He also called on the JSUN members to be diligent and dedicative in the discharge of their duties.
