Break Down of The Katsina 2016 Budget As Signed Into Law By Governor Masari
The total budget is Over N114billion.
Recurrent Expenditure of over N43.3 b
Capital Expenditure of is over N70.6 b
Giving the breakdown of the state allocation according to various sectors, Alh Abdullahi Imam said
The economic sector has N18.5 billion
Social sector is allocated N27 billion
The regional sector has over N16 billion
Administration sector receives over N5b
The Judiciary is allocated N515 million
The Legislators is allocated N666 million
The Miscellaneous Services is allocated N1.7 billion
N105m is earmarked to service the N11.8billion bail out fund received from the federal government.
Out of the N43.3 billion Recurrent Expenditure;
Ministry of Education gets over N7.8 billion
Department of Higher Education was allocated over N4.4 billion
Ministry of Health got N5.8 billion
The governor also said the budget will be implemented 90% base on the flow of revenue. He also said the budget document was prepared base on the prudent and objective projection of oil market. He assured that for the rest of the tenure of his administration, they will be accountable to people and good.
The Special Adviser to the governor on Budget and Economic planing -Alh Abdullahi Imam urged the public to complement government effort by paying up their taxes to enable the government performed.
