Reasons Why Your Phone Battery Dies So Fast
We live in a world today where having your phone die in the middle of the day can actually cause you quite a lot of inconvenience. Find out why your phone battery doesn’t last as long as it should by checking out these next points.
6. YOU CHARGE YOUR PHONE ALL THE WAY TO 100%
Researchers suggest the battery sweet spot is somewhere between 30%-80% battery life. Obviously having it nearer 30% isn’t ideal. Charge your phone in short bursts throughout the day.
5. LETTING YOUR PHONE DIE
Everytime you let your phone die, you actually slightly damage the battery, making it slightly weaker each time. So when you see that 10% warning, start looking for that charger!
This will probably only affect some of us, but letting your phone overheat severely damages the battery, as well as the internal circuits. iPhone’s actually show up a warning telling you if it’s too hot; so if you see this then cool it down asap!
3. USING WIRELESS CHARGERS
Relying on wireless chargers too much can also damage your battery. They won’t ever give the same charge as a mains plugged in cable.
2. CHARGING WITH A CASE ON
If your phone feels extra warm after charging it with its case on, consider removing it the next time you charge your phone. The phone case can trap additional heat which could damage your battery.
If using official Apple products then you’re most likely safe, but if you’re using third-party chargers and cables then you pose the risk of your phone getting overcharged if you don’t keep an eye on the battery percentage.
