The court case filled by the Katsina State’s PDP against Governor Masari over his dissolution of the State’s Chairmen and Councillors in the early days of his tenure was adjourned to 3rd May, 2016 by the judge presiding over the case.
The Katsina State High Court in continuation of the case filled by the PDP sat on Tuesday 22nd March where the lawyers from both sides took to the floor to support their argument.
The presiding judge of the case is Justice Maikaita.
It could be recalled that Governor Masari dissolved all the 34 chairmen in the state elected on the platform of PDP over allegations of financial mismanagement and public fund embezzlement in the build-up to the 2015 general election.
This allegation since denied by the PDP and also filled a case against the Governor over what they termed ‘illegal dissolution’ of duly elected office holders.
